What resolution do I need?
For tracing outlines, modest resolution is fine. A 2000px wide image scaled to 3 meters gives about 17 DPI — enough to see shapes and lines at arm length.
Can I convert a photo to a stencil?
Yes. Edge detection turns any photo into outlines. The stencil effect gives bold high-contrast shapes. Adjust the threshold to control detail.
